There’s one example of the question and answer session in a presentation in the description of the final design. Usually a lot more questions and comments follow, such as the ones in the following exercise. Match a part from the left with a part from the right to form conditional sentences (if-clauses). Then check your answers by listening to George asking the questions.
a) Supposing you raised the ceiling height, | there’ll be sufficient light to work.
b) We’ll cope with not having a larder | unless you come up with a suitable alternative.
c) So long as there is sufficient space for my car, | if we hadn’t liked this design solution.
d) You would have had to come up with a different solution | will the access from the hall still be necessary?
e) If you add another window to the room, | would the beam still be sufficiently dimensioned?
f) We’ll go ahead with this scheme | would the stairs still work in this way?
g) If you increased the distance between the posts, | providing the kitchen is no narrower than three metres.
h) Supposing the office has a separate entrance, | you may use the garage for technical equipment, too. |
